Trial Attorney The First Consultation is Always Free Attorney I haven’t backed down from a fight since grade school but I’m willing to negotiate a settlement when it suits my client’s needs. I provide skilled and creative legal services to my clients in Brazil, Terre Haute, and West Central Indiana. I am a long time resident of Indiana, moving here from the East Coast in 1971. I graduated from Indiana University School of Law in 1992 and Ball State University in 1989. I also attended East China Institute of Politics and Law in Shanghai, China in 1990. I listen attentively and treat all of my clients with respect and honesty. I handle every case with diligence and creativity. To schedule an appointment to speak with me, call 812-442-5999 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Weekend and evening appointments are available and the first consultation is free. My e-mail address is; charles@charles_hear.net. Legal advice will not be provided via e-mail. Practice When something has gone wrong for you or a loved one, the Law office of Charles Hear is the place to go. My primary areas of practice are Criminal Defense, Family and Domestic Relations, Debt Collection, Real Estate, and General Litigation to protect people’s rights. I represent individuals and families effectively and with attention to their individual needs. When it seems like everything is on the line, I am someone you can count on. I don’t owe anyone any favors, I am not a good ol’e boy, and I have no desire to get elected to anything. My number one desire is to win every case. The Firm The Law Office of Charles Hear is located on State Road 59, 1.5 miles north of I70 and approximately 3.5 miles south of U.S.40. As my office is located in my home, weekend and evening appointments are available on request, but the office is closed every Friday. The Law Office of Charles Hear provides small town hospitality and respect but provides the resources of a large firm. Tracy Hines, Legal Assistant, has been with the firm for approximately five years. Tracy skillfully and professionally assists in all aspects of the practice and is often available to personally to visit inmates and go to government offices when Mr. Hear is unavailable. Yvette Hear is a paralegal of ten years experience working for the state of Indiana. She assists the office when needed. Jonathan Enos, a Criminology Intern from Indiana State University, has been with the firm for approximately one year. Mr. Enos uses his background in chemistry and criminology to investigate and analyze the facts and theories in our cases. His assistance has been decisive in cases involving ballistics and police misconduct. Mr. Hear also has a good standing relationship with two private investigation firms and has long relationships with leading professionals in several fields of practice, industries, and government.
